Lies and deception.
If you are going through something similar do yourself a favor and have a recording device going during all interactions; use something else other than your phone so you don't make it obvious. Its quite a surprise when you play it back to the judge and police.
Document the incident immediately and send it to yourself as email gives you a journal with datestamp that cant be altered and is good to demonstrate in court. It also gives you material for your kids or family that ask you about the situation in the future to review; helping with undoing the alienation.
Always keep the recordings as well.. burning them to dvd and giving to a close friend or family member is a great way to store them. Keep an old laptop around for doing this.
